Thanks to Capt'n Neill for passing this along
Nothing was going happening on the flat I was fishing. I used all my normal clousers, spoon flies, deceivers and bonefish sliders so just as a joke I tied on one of the girdle bugs that I tied on some 9394 NP Tiemco Hooks. I swung the flies through a cut that went between two flats as the tide was heading out. You know how sea Trout are, they travel in groups. I caught a bunch of fish that day. I am looking forward to getting back down to the Tampa Bay at some point.
These pix are from a trip to FL a few years ago. These are certainly not the biggest snook out there but they were a bunch of fun to catch. I think I caught 4 on 4 casts. I caught these snook in bayou by freshwater spring outlet. I used a Scott S4S 9ft 9wt and a tan bucktail clouser with two brown/furnace grizz hackles.
Fly tying, fly fishing and all aspects of fly culture.
