Trout Trips to The North Branch of the Potomac and Savage Rivers- If you want the ultimate western trout fishing experience but do not want to get on a plane come with us to this wilderness fishing experience. The NBP is a large tail water with 4 species of trout. Trout grand slams, Rainbow, Brown, Brook and Cutthroat are possible. This is big water that fishes much like many of the large western waters we all dream about. Small two handed rods are even at home here. The Savage is one the most beautiful rivers in the world and also one of the most technical. Also a tail water, the Savage’s frequent fog and vegetation give it a middle earth feel. Both rivers fish well year round and offer a varied fishing opportunities. Hatches are prolific and frequent. Your trip includes 2 nights in a rustic cabin, two days fishing, all meals, rods, leaders, and flies. Meals are prepared over a large fire pit and are always a highlight of the trip. Other additional equipment that is highly recommended is sunscreen, a hat, polarized glasses, waders and boots, and a headlamp. Weekend trips consisting of two nights and two days fishing are $950.
