click on the image from sage to view a great reviews of all of the upcoming Sage One Switch and Spey rods. i ahve also included soem vids from youtube. I can't wait to get my hands on "ONE" of these rods. I think I am going to go with the 4 wt switch. I just picked up Skagit Master 3 from A Marblehead Fly Fisher. They have a few left but most have been bought already. Stoked to watch this. I will put up a review soon.
I saw this vehicle decked out in a New Belguim Brewery Fat Tire wrap. Pretty cool, huh. Everyone knows the New Belguim is the official brewery of fly fishing. How does one get so lucky to be able to drive around in town in a fat ride like that? Everyone knows that New Belguim is the best brewery in the country. Their beers a great and not over the top like some of our east coast breweries. They are also wind powered and employee owned. I'm excited for the Asheville brewery to open up. Go beer! Remember children, everything with moderation. Do not double haule into a headwind with two size a shot while drinking.
There goes the neighborhood. I'll never understand why people would want to go and pay the same price for products and get worse service. I think to some the perception of saving a buck is more important that actually saving a buck. I'll admit I am no expert on hunting but I have been in a few fly fishing and tackle shops in my day. I value the expert advice that I receive by the owners and employees of these small businesses. The manufacturers set their own prices for items. You may find crappy Chinese made no name or Cabelas branded rods at a low price but your Sage rod or Simms waders will const you the same at Cabelas or at your local fly shop. Big box stores are notorious for paying low wages and not providing benefits to their unskilled labor force. The money also leaves our local economy. I want the money I spend to go into the pockets of my neighbors and friends. Think about how the home depots of the world put the small mom and pop hardware stores out of business. Remember when you could go and find just the screw you needed and if he didn't have it he knew just where to get it. Or better yet he knew off a different screw that would suit your purposes better at a low price..... You get the picture. Ata big box store what they have is what they have. The people tune out and jobs and places we value go away. its a loose loose. I welcome peoples comments.
This flat brim is bad ass. It comes in Grey, Red and Black and they have huge sizes for monster melons like mine. Now I just gotta get my hands on one
From Idylwilde "Idylwilde Law: For every bigass, 10-gallon cowboy/fishing hat you see on the river, there needs to be an equal and very opposite Flexfit, flatbrimmed Idylwide cap to new school that yawn festival up. Just sayin’. 83% acrylic / 15% wool / 2% Spandex keeps your customers’ wicked fashion sense clearly seated in the 21st century and the subtle Idylwilde logo lets other like-minded rippers know they probably don’t want to follow you down the river." I was absolutly floored by this vid. Those char are just so beautiful and big. How do I figure out how to get up there and get some of them. The tug is the drug. Check this vid fromPlummers Lodges' website For more info on Plummers Lodge follow this link
http://www.plummerslodges.com/lodges/tree-river Scott claims; lighter, faster strong and more fun. Let's see if I can get my hands on one. I'll be the judge of that!
